From Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Firefly, comes Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, 'cause the world is in desperately short supply of supervillian musicals.
Watch it now. Acts I, II, and III. It's awesome!

Okay, I tried. I watched the first few minutes of act one a few days ago and I couldn't get into it. When does it get funny?
While it's supposed to be amusing in it's way (think dialogue and facial humor), it's mostly intended to be a twist on the superhero concept. The humor is only incidental. It's not intended as a slapstick comedy.
I guess the thing with it is the incongruity of a villain as the protagonist and a superhero and the antagonist. You root for the bad guy, who is humble and seems to have good motives, while kind of hating the good guy, who's really just an ego-gratifying jerk.
Not your everyday do-gooder supers crap.
So, are you supposed to actually laugh? Or just rub your chin and say, "Ahh, yes. Good one. I see. That one's quite a character. Oh, yes...touche, my friend."
I am not a fan of musicals, but I must say I chuckled quite a few times. ....And Captain Hammer did the head smash! I laughed out loud at that part!
Dude...That was so funny. I loved it!
